Violet Leon, 89 of Columbia passed away Monday, June 4, 2007 at University Hospital. Services will be held at a later date. She was born June 16, 1917 in Chicago, IL to Oscar and Anna Anderson, nee Andersen. She married James Leon on January 9, 1937 and he survives. Survivors include her husband of Columbia; a son, Richard (Stephanie) Leon of River Grove, IL; a daughter, Barbara (Timothy) Materer of Columbia; six grandchildren, Karen Campagna, Richard Leon Jr., Daniel Leon, Nicholas Materer, Andrew Materer and Susan Richter; and three great-grandchildren Joseph Campagna, Dominick Campagna and Stephanie Leon. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Memorials may be given to Candlelight Lodge, 1406 Business Loop 70 West, Columbia, MO 65202.
