What do Cyndi Lauper, Margaret Cho, Rosie O’Donnell, Debbie Harry, Erasure and the Dresden Dolls have in common? Not a lot, except when they’re onstage for a good cause. The True Colors tour (nothing to do with that Lauper song … nope, nothing at all) hits Chicago on Tuesday, part of a national initiative in support of the Human Rights Campaign — a group working in support of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender rights. It’s music, comedy and more over the space of five hours. Think of it this way: As long as you’re going to attend something beneficial, would you rather don fancy garments and listen to oh so dull speechifying, or throw on the jeans and rock out to “Change Of Heart,” that irresistible, perfect pop ditty? Thought so. 6 p.m. Tuesday, Auditorium Theatre, 50 E. Congress Pkwy. $56-$201; 312-559-1212.
