James Edwin McGowan, Odell, IL, formally of Homewood, IL, born on October 29, 1928 to the late James and Doris Norton, passed away on June 8, 2007. He was a loving husband to Carol Kramer McGowan; loving father to James T. (Peggy) McGowan, Jennifer McGowan, Margaret McGowan and Mary (Mark Gibson) McGowan; proud grandfather of Tom McLaughlin, Kyle VanderVort, Claire VanderVort, Maggie Calabrese, Tyler Gibson, and Logan McGowan; fond brother to Jane (Larry) Hallenbeck, and Ruth Strutz and the late Thomas McGowan, Margaret McGowan, and Myra “Pip” Pandow. Visitation will be Sunday, June 10, 2007, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Duffy Funeral Homein Odell, IL and then on Tuesday June 12, 2007, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the St. Andrews Methodist Church in Homewood, IL.
