Frank J. Sieja, of Marco Island, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away June 10, 2007. Frank was born March 8, 1916 in Chicago, IL, one of 14 children. Frank and his wife Emily retired permanently to Marco Island in 1991, after many years in the area as “snowbirds”. Frank was an avid golfer and a member of the Marco Island Country Club and Glen Oak Country Club, Glen Ellyn, IL, where he served as past President. Frank and Emily also enjoyed boating and was a member of the Marco Island Cruise Club and Past Commodore. Frank and Emily are long time parishioners of San Marco Catholic Church on Marco Island. Frank is survived by his wife of 70 years, Emily; his two sons, Roger (Kathy) of Chicago and Ralph (Debbie) from Marco Island; and a daughter, Cheryl Hauck of Naples; he was preceded in death by his son Robert Sieja; Frank and Emily have 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at Hodges-Josberger Funeral Home, 577 Elkcam Circle, Marco Island, from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 14, 2007, at 10 a.m., at San Marco Catholic Church, Marco Island.
