The South Side’s popular Irish shop, Winston’s Market, has opened another location on Southport Avenue, and expanded its global reach.

The deli counter caters to people too busy to cook and focuses on comfort food like meatloaf with chipotle-barbecue sauce, polenta stuffed with goat cheese, and an array of salads. The freezer has such easy-to-prepare items as single-serving marinated chicken breasts (tandoori, hoisin, curry). Beer and wine sales await licensing and until then, the case is filled with a variety of designer sodas and sparkling waters.

And, of course, a selection of Irish goods is on hand too.
