The man who was shot and wounded in an early-morning carjacking Tuesday in the South Loop has been released from the hospital, Chicago police said. The attack occurred about 12:20 a.m. in the 1300 block of South Canal Street in a parking lot. The victim, 29, struggled with the offenders and at least one of the robbers shot the victim in his right side, police said.
