NBC’s Matt Lauer has landed another hot interview. Princes William and Harry talked to Lauer in what is billed as their first American TV interview, people.com reports. Timing is key, as the 10th anniversary of their mother’s death is coming up this August, and the brothers are promoting a July 1 concert they planned in Princess Diana’s honor. Prince William, now 24, said this of his mother’s death: “After it happened, we were always thinking about it. …There’s not a day goes by I don’t think about it.”

Actor Dermot Mulroney, of “My Best Friend’s Wedding” and “The Wedding Date” fame, filed for divorce from his wife, actress Catherine Keener, who was in “The 40-Year-Old-Virgin” and “Friends with Money.” They have been married for 17 years but have been separated since May 2005, The Associated Press reports. Mulroney cited irreconcilable differences and asked for joint custody of their 7-year-old son.
A Posh friend
In a weird twist, Jennifer Aniston’s alleged new man, British model Paul Sculfor, was seen having dinner with Victoria Beckham last weekend in L.A. Apparently the former Spice Girl’s good pal Maria-Louise Fetherstone dated Sculfor back when they were growing up, people.com reports. And while the pair dined, cameras filmed the encounter for her upcoming reality show.
‘Hairspray’ to-do
Some leaders in the gay community are calling for a boycott of the “Hairspray” remake out next month. John Travolta stars in it as Edna Turnblad, a role originally played by drag queen Divine. Gay leaders are upset because Travolta is a follower of Scientology, a religion that has a tough stance on homosexuality, msnbc.com reports. “Divine is spinning in her grave,” said Kevin Naff, managing editor of the gay-oriented Washington Blade.
Shot
Up-and-coming rapper Stack Bundles was shot to death outside his home in Queens early Monday morning, The Associated Press reports. Authorities were investigating whether the unidentified shooter stole a chain from the rapper. Bundles, whose real name was Rayquon Elliot, was affiliated with Byrd Gang Records. The label “is deeply saddened by our loss,” manager Yancy Smith said in a statement. “A young star’s light was put out before he had a chance to shine in front of the world.”
