Chien-Ming Wang outpitched Brandon Webb in a marquee matchup of exceptional sinkerballers as the Yankees beat the Diamondbacks 4-1 on Tuesday night for their seventh consecutive win.

The Yankees (31-31) won for the 10th time in 12 tries, reaching .500 for the first time since they were 16-16 after beating Texas on May 9.

Coming off a five-hitter against the White Sox, Wang (6-4) allowed six hits and walked none in seven innings.

Fired by ESPN last year, former major-leaguer Harold Reynolds was hired as a broadcaster by MLB.com. Reynolds sued ESPN in October, contending he was wrongly fired from a $6 million, six-year contract after a female intern complained about what he called a “brief and innocuous” hug.
