Richard E. Markuson, age 74, passed away on June 9, 2007 at Delnor Community Hospital. He was a longtime resident of Batavia, IL. He was the beloved husband of the late Elaine Markuson, nee Zabiak; loving father of Donna (Russell) Ogle, Grant (Kathy Dietz) Markuson, Bruce (Ann) Markuson, and Ken (Kristi) Markuson; proud grandfather of ten grandchildren; fond brother of Jack Markuson and Julie Beckstrom. Mr. Markuson will be remembered for being a self-made man and proud entrepreneur. He retired as an owner of several restaurants in Illinois and Iowa. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Batavia, Illinois followed by a reception at the church.
