Rev. Paul J. Cull, 86, of Gurnee, IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Vista East Medical Center. Reverend Cull was born in Chicago, IL on March 9, 1921. He was ordained February 21, 1945, at St Mary of the Lake Seminary, Mundelein, IL. He served at St. Genevieve Parish, Chicago, IL from 1945-1950, Holy Family Parish, North Chicago, IL from 1950-1955, Immaculate Conception Church in Waukegan, IL from 1955-1968, St. Attracta Church in Cicero, IL from 168-169, St. Dismas Church, Waukegan, IL where he served as pastor from 1979-1992, retiring March 1, 1992. After retirement Father Cull assisted at St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan and just recently retired. Father also visited and assisted weekly at Precious Blood Convent on Petite Lake Rd., Lake Villa, IL. He is survived by many cousins and was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary (Kocstner) Cull. Friends may gather at St. Dismas Church, 2600 Sunset Ave, Waukegan, IL on Sunday, June 24, from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Monday, June 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 26, 11 a.m. at St. Dismas Church. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Evergreen Park, Il. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Father Cull’s memory to St. Dismas Education Fund/Feed the Hungry or St. Anastasia Education Fund.
