Hyde Gillette, of Westwood, MA, formerly of Washington D.C. and Chicago, IL, June 16, in his 101st year, beloved husband of the late Marie C. Gillette, nee Smith; devoted father of Marie G. Gerald of Wayland, MA; grandfather of Betsy McNeal of Dublin, OH, Clifton Gerald of Weilesley, MA, Anne Bachman of Wayland, MA; also survived by eight great-grandchildren; brother of Helen Gillette Chapin of Rancho Santa Fe, CA and the late Edwin Gillette and Marietta Gillette WiII. Former Assistant Post Master General (Bureau of Finance) in the Eisenhower Administration. A third generation Chicagoan. He was retired from Prudential Securities Inc. In the Washington D.C. office. Memorial service in St. John the Evangelist Church, Wellesley Hills, MA, on Friday, June 22, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
