William R. Schauer, age 7,of Westfield, WI, formerly of Berwyn, IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Divine Savior Hospital, Portage. He was born on Sept. 17, 1934, Chicago, son of the late William O. and Clara, nee Bell, Schauer. Bill served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Union Carbide/Viskase Corp., Chicago as an electrical engineer for 43 years. Bill was an avid hunter and naturalist. Survivors include his two children, Teresa (Richard) Rollinson of Westfield, William (Sandra) Schauer II of Bolingbrook, IL and their mother, Jeanette, nee Meester, Schauer of Illinois; three grandchildren, Wesley, Jessica and Paul; one brother, James (Karen) Schauer of Missouri; companion in life, Meri Jo Klos of Westfield; other relatives and friends. A Funeral Service for Bill will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home, Westfield, with Pastor Terry Temanson officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Township of Springfield. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the hour of Service at the funeral home.
