Simple CaBana Flip-Flops

$55 at simpleshoes.com.

As a ChapStick addict, I freak out when I’m lip balm-less. Enter Simple’s flip-flops, which have a built-in holder for a ChapStick tube across the strap. Once I got over my hesitation about carrying a lip product so close to the ground and my toes, I fell in love. These are the most supportive flip-flops I’ve tried. While many of my flimsier flops have been pierced by gravel or glass, these have a firm rubber outsole that could probably prevail if I tap danced in an open box of tacks. Not that I plan to test that, but you get the point: These kicks are keepers.

Gillette Venus Breeze razor

$6.99 (on sale) at Target stores

This razor has a gel strip on either side of the blade that, when applied to the leg, with water, creates a slippery film that acts as a shave gel. I liked the convenience, but the size of the razor head made it hard to maneuver around the knees. It’s great for convenience’s sake, but the quality of the shave itself won’t make me switch brands.

Cellphone purse

$12.95 at myphonefashions.com

If you can’t detach from your cell phone but don’t want to carry a big purse, this little jacket might be for you. Made with Chinese-inspired fabrics and a strap that’s long enough to sling across your front, the jacket’s opening is wide enough for most cell phones, but there’s also a pocket on the back to allow easy access to a phone, keys or money.
