TWISTA’S TURN

Chicago recording artist Twista takes questions from RedEye readers all week and answers them in his online column, “Twista’s Turn.” Read his columns at redeyechicago.com/twista. Here’s an excerpt from a recent column.

Yo Twist, what’s really the deal with you and Traxs? I wish you and Traxs would hook up and do something.

Jason, Las Vegas

Traxster and I are still cool, but we never really saw eye to eye on the business side of things, so Traxster won’t be on this album. It’s a new album, though, and I have producers on it that I think can do what needed to be done. I have Toxic, Tight Mike, Kanye West, Pharrell and a few others on there that are holding it down with the beats. I can just go in the studio with Toxic or Tight Mike and have them put together what I want, and it turns out hot, so I really don’t feel I need to turn to anybody else.

10TH LINE

Leo Ebersole writes “Nine Lines” for RedEye, but he saves the 10th line for you. Here are some of the best from Leo’s setup line: “Making Jessica Alba play an invisible character on screen is like …”

“… Being at a bar when a Chicago team wins and having nobody buy you a drink.”

Court

“… having your 136 million dollar slugger bat leadoff.”
