– Why did they take “Jericho” off the air? Is there anything that can be done to get it back on? — Pamela Ver Planck, Paradise, Calif.

Apparently, it’s already been done. Just as this column was going to press, reports emerged that thanks to fan support — evidenced by an online petition that had roughly 50,000 signatures, and many bags of nuts (if you watched the show, you’ll understand) sent to CBS — the network was in talks to make and air several more episodes of the Skeet Ulrich-starring show.

The news came just in time, since it was only a matter of days until the cast members would be released from their contracts, thus preventing potentially costly and prohibitive renegotiations. And before anyone asks, no air dates for the new episodes are set yet.

– What happened to “The Black Donnellys” on NBC? Will it be on again? — Ed Meire, Batavia, Ill.

No. Despite the network’s pride in touting the show’s pedigree, since it came from “Crash” director and co-writer Paul Haggis, some of its episodes scored lower ratings than those of the series it replaced, the also-canceled “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.”

– Could you please tell me where Juliet Huddy and Mike Jerrick are now? They were both working for Fox News Channel, and I thought they were going to be on another show.

— Betty Filan, Atlantic Beach, N.C.

They were, and they are. “The Morning Show With Mike & Juliet” started its weekday run just after this calendar year began, mainly on Fox owned-and-operated stations, but also on some others. We know of stations that used it to fill the opening created by the cancellation of “The Megan Mullally Show.”

n I really missed not seeing “The Biggest Loser” this past season. Will it be back? — Karen Murphy, Bellevue, Wash.

Yes. At this writing, NBC had been only as specific as “late summer” for the weight-loss competition’s return. When it does resurface, it will have a new host who’s very familiar to daytime viewers: Alison Sweeney, alias Sami Brady on the venerable NBC serial “Days of our Lives.”

n I really enjoyed the sitcom “Big Day” and hope you have good news about its return for another season. — Shane Galvan, Dallas

We don’t. ABC canceled it.
