2. BET Awards ’07

You can bet on a good time at this year’s awards gala honoring black achievers in music, acting and sports. Mo’Nique, who brought the house down with her version of Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love” during an earlier hosting gig, returns to emcee the festivities. Beyonce (above) is the leading nominee with six nods, while Jennifer Hudson, Ciara, Akon and Gnarls Barkley are up for three each. 50 Cent and T.I. are among the scheduled performers.

3. The Unit’

The members are at the United Nations dealing with a bomb in the secretary general’s office. While they’re getting him to safety, dealing with the bomb and trying to determine whether there are any more, an elevator crash adds a new layer of danger to the mission. 5. ‘House’

8 p.m., WFLD-Ch. 32

The story arc involving Detective Tritter (David Morse) and his vendetta against House (Hugh Laurie) was disappointing, but this episode is one of the better ones to come out of it. The divorced parents of House’s 6-year-old patient can’t agree on her treatment, so a judge appoints Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) as the child’s guardian. It’s Chase (Jesse Spencer) who nails the diagnosis, but he has to get physical to convince House.

6. ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’

9 p.m., WMAQ-Ch. 5

What would Dr. Abbott say? Emily VanCamp, best known as sweet Amy from “Everwood,” plays a very different kind of girl here. She’s the daughter of a mob lawyer (Cary Elwes) who is brutally attacked. When Benson and Stabler (Mariska Hargitay, Christopher Meloni) go to notify her, she’s full of lies about where she’s been and what she’s done. But Dad wakes up and knows exactly where she’s been: She was at the crime scene. Uh-oh.
