Serena rallies to reach third round
After another slow start, Serena Williams got her grass-court game back on track. The two-time champion rallied from 4-1 down in the first set and beat Australia’s Alicia Molik 7-6 (4), 6-3 on Wednesday to reach the third round of Wimbledon. Also getting past the second round was third-seeded Andy Roddick and top-seeded Justine Henin.
NBA TV deal includes digital rights
The NBA’s new TV contracts with ESPN/ABC and TNT include rights to technologies that have yet to be invented, an indication of the importance the deals place on newer forms of media. The NBA will receive about $930 million a year for all its broadcast rights, an increase of 20 percent from the previous average of $767 million.

– The NCAA will reconsider three rules, including one that bans coaches from sending text messages to recruits, at its Aug. 9 board of directors meeting. Roy Jones Jr. will return to the ring July 14 against super-middleweight Anthony Hanshaw.
