Dr. Fred Levin, 88, beloved husband of Phyllis, nee Harris; loving father of Fred (Carol) and Billy (Debbie); adored “Papa Doc” of Jackie, Aaron, Mitch and Ben; fond brother of the late Harold (Gertrude) Levin and Ann (Hyman) Bashkin; dear uncle of nieces and nephews. Dr. Levin was an Optometrist for 40 years in Des Plaines, Past-President of the KiwanaS Club of Des Plaines, Vice-President of The Zionist Organization of Chicago, member and past Commander of Jewish War Veterans Skokie Post #326, life member of B’Nai Jacob Congregation and member of Skokie Central Traditional Congregation. He was a loving, caring and gentle man. Services Thursday, 12 Noon at Weinstein Funeral Home North Shore Chapel,111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette. Interment Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights.
