Bernard E. Beemsterboer, age 81, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at Salem Village, Joliet, born in Chicago to the late Nicholas and Katherine, nee Brugman, Beemsterboer. Living in New Lenox the past 36 years, formerly of the Roseland area of Chicago; loving husband of Adelaide, nee Klees, of 53 years; loving father of Thomas (Joanne), Paul (Carola) and Patricia (Jeffrey) Jandeska; loving grandfather of Nicholas, Katherine and Julie Jandeska, and Jaclyn and Jennifer Beemsterboer; dear step-grandfather of Joseph, Michael, Brian and Timothy Rogers; dear brother of Mary Alice Smith and the late Robert and Louis; fond uncle of many; dear friend of Gary (Caren) Petersen. WWII U.S. Army Veteran, recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Joliet, St. Mary’s Holy Name Society, New Lenox VFW Post #9545 and New Lenox American Legion Post #1977. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, on Sunday, July 1, 2007 from 2 to 8 p.m. Prayer Service on Monday, July 2, 2007 at 12 noon following to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
