Jose Pea Sr., age 76, passed away on June 25, loving husband of Guadalupe, nee Buentello, for 53 years; loving father of Isabel Cazares, Jose Jr. (Norma), Pedro, Lupe (Sherry) Pea, Rosa (Samuel) Casiano and Cristina (Thomas) Nelson; cherished grandfather of 16; great-grandfather of 11. He was a great and compassionate man who befriended all those he met and served as a mentor. He was a quick-witted, hard-working man who loved sports. He will be sorely missed, always loved and never forgotten. Funeral Mass Saturday, June 30 at 9:30 a.m. at Maternity B.V.M. Catholic Church, 3647 W. North Ave., Chicago. Visitation on Saturday afternoon, June 30, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Alvarez Funeral Directors, 2500 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago. Private services will follow.
