Bernard Elafros, 80, of Kankakee, IL, formerly of Northbrook, IL, passed away on June 28, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Norma Rattin Elafros; two children: son, Mark (Julie) Elafros of Northbrook, IL and daughter, Carlene (David) Belch of Northbrook, IL; grandchildren: Rebekah, Andrew, Matthew, Nathaniel, Laura, Ashley, Justin, Jake and Josue; and two great-grandchildren, Lilly and Thomas; also one brother, George Elafros of Texas; and one sister, Angeline Baker of AR; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Elafros was vice-president of finance for Commerce Clearing House and treasurer of Moody Memorial Church in Chicago for 20 years. Visitation will be Tuesday June 3, 2007 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bourbonnais Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homewith funeral services at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
