*A white-bearded insurance agent from Florida won the Ernest Hemingway Look-Alike Contest, a highlight of the annual festival honoring the famed writer in Key West, Fla., late Saturday. Larry Austin defeated 122 other contenders in the competition at Sloppy Joe’s Bar, a Hemingway watering hole.
*Marge Simpson’s impressive hair was inspired by “The Bride of Frankenstein” and by the 1960s hairdo of Matt Groening’s mother, the series’ creator told The New York Times Magazine in an interview published Sunday. Groening has hit the interview circuit to promote “The Simpsons Movie,” which opens Friday.
*Rapper 50 Cent sued an Internet advertising company for $1 million last week, claiming it illegally used his image in a game where the player pretends to shoot him. The game, called “Shoot the Rapper,” shows 50 Cent walking back and forth in an ad across the top of a Web page while the viewer is encouraged to target him with the mouse, court papers say.
