*Britney Spears’ longtime pal Alli Sims was served legal papers early Sunday concerning the ongoing custody battle between Spears and her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, People .com reports. Sims was leaving a party at a private home in the Hollywood Hills when she was served a summons to give a deposition in the case.
*R&B singer D’Angelo was fined and received suspended jail sentences in Virginia last week on charges stemming from a 2005 accident. The Richmond native, born Michael Archer, pleaded guilty to driving with a suspended license and driving under the influence.
