A woman (Franka Potente) helps an amnesiac (Matt Damon) — who has a dangerous past — to dodge assassins as he tries to learn about himself. Based on a book by Robert Ludlum, this film was the first in the Bourne big-screen trilogy. Also starring Chris Cooper, Clive Owen, Brian Cox, Julia Stiles and Josh Hamilton.
4. ‘Masters of Science Fiction’
9 p.m., WLS-Ch. 7
A story by the great Robert Heinlein (“Stranger in a Strange Land”) inspired this new episode. Set in a time when expendable man-made “people” do the dirty and dangerous jobs, it’s the tale of a wealthy couple who acquire one of these humanoids as a pet. But the wife (Anne Heche) soon realizes that these beings are more human than people have given them credit for. Malcolm McDowell also stars.
