Calling all video game geeks (or at least anyone who knows the Super Mario Brothers theme by heart). Check out Bleep! Remixing Pong to Donkey Kong, with sound artists mashing up video game soundtracks, at 7 p.m. Friday at the Cultural Center (78 E. Washington St.).
To accessorize
Shop purses, shoes, hats and other accessories created by local designers at the Accessories Caravan, sponsored by Chicago Fashion Week. The outpost will be set up at Prudential Plaza (130 E. Randolph St.) on Aug. 24 and 25 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
To glam
Tickets still are available for Friday night’s Macy’s Glamorama at the Chicago Theatre (175 N. State St.) box office, with a country couture-themed designer runway show and headliners Muzik- Mafia. Tickets range from $50 to $75 for the performance, or $195 for the performance and after-party. The show starts at 8 p.m., with red carpet arrivals beginning at 6:30 p.m.
