If ever there was a time to see a ballet, Wednesday night is it. The Joffrey Ballet performs “Cool Vibrations,” a program of three ballets set to pop music — the Beach Boys, Motown, and Prince. The free performance starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park.

The cast of FX’s “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” comes to the University of Illinois at Chicago (525 S. Racine Ave.) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday. Stop by the pseudo-Paddy’s Bar, see behind-the-scenes videos, and guest star in a screen test. The resulting video will be edited into the show and posted at sunnyroadtripexperience.com.
