Former “Grey’s Anatomy” star Kate Walsh’s wedding was so hot Saturday that the power went out.
“They had so much stuff going on that they blew the power — everything is out,” a guest e-mailed the New York Daily News on Saturday afternoon.
Walsh married movie executive Alex Young on Saturday amid rolling brownouts in California. The couple held their reception at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa, according to the Daily News.
“We just couldn’t get the place cool, because we couldn’t keep the air conditioning on,” a source told E! Online’s Tina Dirmann. “It kept kicking off. And even when the sun went down, it was still so hot and muggy. We were all running around like crazy trying to give the guests water so they wouldn’t pass out.”
Because there was no electricity, the kitchen couldn’t be used, so the staff held an impromptu barbecue buffet, E! Online reports.
“It could have been a disaster,” E! Online’s source said. “But Kate was actually really great about it. She and her new husband couldn’t have been nicer to everyone on staff.”
