*Kanye West and 50 Cent will appear on BET’s “106 & Park” on Tuesday, when both of their albums hit the stores. BET is treating the event like a top heavyweight fight, even borrowing Stuart Scott from ESPN to deliver a statistical breakdown of the two stars. Both are set to perform, but whether they will engage in a rap battle remains to be seen.
*Vanessa Hudgens, confirms that a nude photo that has hit the Internet is of her. “This was a photo which was taken privately,” a rep for the “High School Musical” teen queen tells TMZ.com. “It is a personal matter and it is unfortunate that this has become public.”
*Chicago native Robert Townsend will headline IFP/Chicago’s Independent Film Gala, scheduled for Sept. 28 at Salvage One, 1840 W. Hubbard St., Chicago. Tickets are $100 for one, $150 for two for the event, which benefits IFP/Chicago’s efforts to provide resources and networking for independent filmmakers, industry professionals and fans of indie films.
