The White Stripes announced Wednesday that they are canceling their entire North American tour, including two sold-out shows Oct. 6-7 at the Aragon Ballroom.

The duo of Jack White and Meg White (a former married couple) cited health issues. Drummer Meg White is suffering from acute anxiety and is unable to travel, the band said. The White Stripes’ latest album, “Icky Thump,” debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and is approaching 1 million sales.

Ticket holders for the tour should refund their tickets at place of purchase.
