*Howard K. Stern says that claims in a book that he and Larry Birkhead had a videotaped sexual encounter are absurd and could psychologically damage Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter. “It’s ridiculous,” Stern told “Entertainment Tonight” at the weekend birthday bash for Smith and Birkhead’s 1-year-old daughter, Dannielynn. “Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith’s Death” puts forth a series of made-for-tabloids allegations, including that Birkhead and Stern cut a secret deal in which Birkhead would get custody of the child in return for lawyer Stern serving as executor of the late Playmate’s estate.

*A new production of the camp musical “The Rocky Horror Show” is slated for the Mercury Theatre. Performances are to begin Oct. 12. According to audition notices placed by producer Creativision Entertainment, the show will be an Equity-affiliated attraction. Because the current tenant of the Mercury, singer Ron Hawking, hasn’t said he will be leaving, it seems likely that the shows will share space, with “Rocky” playing a lot of late nights.
