Rap wars

In response to the question: Which artist will ultimately have the bigger career, Kanye West or 50 Cent? (“The egos have landed,” Sept. 11 cover story)

Being a Chicagoan, it’s hard for me to say it — but 50 is going to have the greater career. His resume shows for it. Kanye will have a steady career, but 50 will edge him. Both will arguably be legends.

Neither! Because Kanye West is a crybaby. And 50 Cent is looking to die in the rap game. This is the end of their, “I need a conflict” to sell albums.

Spies like them

Is this merely a case of football imitating life, or did the New England Patriots just get confused as to whom the government’s Patriot Act applied (“Patriot supremacy,” Sept. 13 sports cover story)?

Anniversary coverage lacking

I am extremely disappointed in RedEye’s lack of tribute to the sixth anniversary of 9/11. Thank you for being completely inconsiderate and devoting half of a page to a silly debate over the speaker at the ceremony in New York. I intend to cancel my subscription to the Chicago Tribune and no longer support any of your efforts.

Keeping it green

Just wanted to drop you a line to say thanks for writing a piece on what happens to all the bottles that people discard on a daily basis (“Plastic wasteland,” Sept. 12 cover story). It’s a huge problem for the environmental cause and I’m just glad that the RedEye decided to highlight it. Hopefully, it caused some readers to become aware of this issue.
