The Emmy censors had a rough time at Sunday night’s Emmy Awards.

Sally Field, who won the best actress/drama Emmy, ended a meandering speech that praised mothers and brought out her anti-war sentiments with a God-related swear word.

“And, let’s face it, if the mothers ruled the war, there would be no [bleep] wars in the first place,” Field said.

The rest must have been too hot for Fox’s censors: The sound cut off and the camera cut away, returning to applause as Field departed the stage.

Earlier in the show, Ray Romano joked about his former TV wife — fellow “Everybody Loves Raymond” star Patricia Heaton — sleeping with her new “Back to You” co-star, Kelsey Grammer. He used a stronger word than “sleeping,” which prompted Fox to black out the show for a few seconds.

“Shame on you. We have TV children!” Romano said to Heaton, who was sitting in the audience.

Immediately after delivering his routine early in the show, Romano headed out the back door.

Katherine Heigl of “Grey’s Anatomy” beat the censors. When her name was announced for winning best supporting actress/drama, she mouthed an expletive that the censors failed to cut away from.
