Exposure Tapas Supper Club
1315 S. WABASH AVE. 312-662-1082

What you’re saying: “The decor can use some work, but … the food was good, and our server was attentive. The prices are a bit high, but I’d still go back.” — T
“I thought the food was very good. I’m not sure if I’d call it a true tapas restaurant, but I know I’ll go back. We had a great meal.” — KATINA
“Not quite sure where they are going with the decor. Plywood all over the walls … not sure if it is even finished yet. … They definitely need a restaurant interior decorator. Hope they get it together soon because the food and drinks are fabulous.” — JANIS

Cafe 103
1909 W. 103RD ST. 773-238-5115
Shirley and Blair Makinney, the couple behind Beverly’s Pantry (1907 W. 103rd St.) run this new, seasonally focused Beverly BYOB with a globally influenced menu.
What you’re saying: “Really disappointing. While everyone was attentive and the food was very pretty, the serving sizes and planning of the menu [were] a little insulting. … My server answered my questions and yet it wasn’t enough to understand what we were ordering. … I left hungry … and [with] a hefty bill.” — ALLY LOO
“What an amazing restaurant! Service was wonderful … food was phenomenal. … Excellent presentation, impeccable food, fabulous staff and no corkage fee on the BYOB wine. What more could a girl ask?” — FRANKIE
“Wow! A very good haute cuisine restaurant in Beverly. … Good service , no corkage fee and free convenient parking. Can’t recommend this place enough.” — DJINN
“Prices are high and portions are small. Service was good but … it lacks a personal touch. The food was delicious and the desserts were a pleasant surprise — very good. I’ll give it another try after they’ve been open for a few more months.” — SALLY
Rosebud Prime
1 S. DEARBORN ST. 312-384-1900
Though most Rosebud joints are known for mammoth portions of pasta, you won’t find any at this new Loop spot. This place is all about steak — and plenty of it. The handsome retro-inspired space features chocolate leather walls and mahogany accents, red chairs and booths, and a dramatic red-carpeted stairway leading to a second-floor dining area and glass-enclosed private dining room.
What you’re saying: “The food and service were excellent. For a place that has only been open for a couple of months, it seems they’ve been around forever.” — D
“Zero ambiance. … Food was good but it did not make up for an overall bad attitude, uber-pretentious wine list, [and] overpriced [menu]! I love Rosebud but this could be the thorn in [its] side.” — LUPE
“Outstanding! … This is the most beautiful restaurant in Chicago! … Service was great. Nice wine selection. Disappointed in the desserts.” — BOB
