* An obituary in Thursday’s Metro section for Phyllis R. Ericson gave an incorrect date for a memorial service. The service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, in Unitarian Church of Geneva, James and 2nd Streets, Geneva. A corrected obituary appears in today’s paper.
* A Page 1 photo caption on Thursday used an incorrect name for the Harborside International Golf Center in Chicago.
* A story about preservation easement programs on the front page of the Thursday Your Place section misstated the boundaries of a property’s exterior protected by an easement. In fact, all four sides of the property and the roofline are protected by an easement, not just the front facade. Also, although the standard tax deduction for this donation ranges from 10 to 15 percent of the fair market value of the property, the tax break can vary, depending on the value of the deduction as determined by a qualified appraiser.
* In some editions of Friday’s Tempo, some words were dropped in Maureen Ryan’s review of “The War.” To see the complete story, go to chicagotribune.com/watcher.
