For 20-year-old Sarah, being chosen to compete as a plus-size contestant on “America’s Next Top Model” may be a dream come true.
But among people who watched the premiere of the ninth season of “Top Model” on Wednesday night, Sarah’s plus-size designation is raising some eyebrows.
In an unscientific poll on usmagazine.com, 98 percent of the more than 4,400 voters said they don’t think Sarah, a college student from Heath, Mass., is plus-size. As Us Magazine put it, “Sarah looks more real-size than anything else!” For shame, Tyra Banks. Remember those bathing suit photos?
