Mt. Carmel linebacker Lawrence Henning suffered a concussion and spent Friday and Saturday at Christ Hospital under observation after collapsing on the sideline during the fourth quarter of the Caravan’s victory over Brother Rice on Friday night.
“I spoke with Lawrence’s dad [Saturday] and everything is going fine,” Mt. Carmel defensive coordinator Dave Lenti said. “We will go with whatever the doctor recommends, but he will probably be out at least a couple of weeks.
“Lawrence took a helmet-to-helmet shot at the end of the third quarter and came staggering off the field. He passed out there for a while, but was coherent when the ambulance took him to the hospital.”
