– Please don’t tell me they are not bringing back “Army Wives.” — Ruth Kubec, Largo, Fla.

OK, we won’t. Within the first few weeks of Lifetime’s summer drama series, it was clear the show wouldn’t end when its freshman season did, given the high ratings it consistently scored. Its August cliffhanger will be resolved — but not until spring, when Kim Delaney, Catherine Bell and the rest of the cast are slated to return with new episodes.

– Can you tell me if “Shark” is returning this fall? It is one of my favorite shows, and I have not seen it advertised as coming back. — Pat McCann, Elmwood Park, N.J.

You’ll find James Woods’ CBS lawyer drama on Sundays instead of Thursdays for the new season. Its second year begins this week, and it’s basically trading places with “Without a Trace,” which is going back to its former Thursday slot (following “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”) for its sixth year.

– I’ve heard rumors that Kristen Bell is joining the cast of “Lost.” Is that true? — Jessica March, Columbus, Ohio

Reportedly, the ABC drama’s producers had preliminary talks with television’s former “Veronica Mars,” but she wasn’t interested in moving to Hawaii for the duration of her stint. She’s found an intriguing gig for the new television season nevertheless; she joins NBC’s “Heroes” in October for a limited run. Bell also is the narrator of the new CW series “Gossip Girl.”

– Was the Lifetime movie “The Murder of Princess Diana” filmed at the actual tunnel where the fatal car crash took place? — Ellen Smith, Chicago

It may have looked that way, which was just what the film’s producers were aiming for, but the bulk of the drama was filmed in Luxembourg, with certain location shots done in Paris. The star of the movie, Jennifer Morrison (“House”), told us the tunnel scene looked realistic enough on location to send chills down her spine.

– I’m surprised to see Ted Danson with white hair on “Damages.” Has he been coloring it for the role? — Susan Burke, Dallas

Quite the opposite. It’s actually been that way for a while, and he was coloring it for the purposes of many of his other roles in recent years. Having spoken with him a number of times, we suspect he finds it a relief that his current FX series is allowing him to bypass that part of his former process.
