* Special administrators appointed to look into the handling of James Brown’s estate told a judge Monday that a former trustee may have misappropriated up to $7 million of the late soul singer’s money. The judge agreed that Brown’s heirs could pursue those claims and ordered David Cannon to pay $370,000 back to the estate, on top of $350,000 the man repaid last month.
* Ex-“Celebrity Fit Club” winner and “Family Ties” actress Tina Yothers and husband Robert Kaiser had a baby boy Monday, People.com reports.
* A federal judge sentenced “Predator” and “Die Hard,” director John McTiernan to 4 months in prison Monday after refusing to allow him to withdraw his guilty plea to a charge of lying to the FBI about his association with disgraced private eye Anthony Pellicano. After making his statement to the FBI, McTiernan later admitted he hired Pellicano to wiretap Charles Roven, a producer who had worked with him on the 2002 box-office flop “Rollerball,” according to authorities.
