Michael E. “Mike” Boardman, 62, of Earlville, IL, formerly of Montgomery, IL passed away Monday, Sept.

24, 2007 in Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born Dec. 7, 1944 in Chicago, the son of Robert E. and Irene E., nee Calhaun, Boardman.

He married Jane Whitehead on Aug. 8, 1986 in Wheaton, IL. Michael was a member of Earlville United Presbyterian Church.

He was a journeyman in the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #265 for over 30 years, retiring in 2005.

Michael was an avid Harley Davidson rider and bike builder.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the infantry.

He is survived by his wife.

Jane of Earlville; two daughters.

Mickie (Dewain) Stange of Aurora, IL and Gina Whitehead of Earlville, IL; one son.

Patrick (Carrie) Boardman of Braidwood, IL; two grandchildren, Dana and Amber Stange; one sister.

Irene Skrip of Chicago, IL; one brother.

Robert (Cathy) Boardman of Sparks, NV. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Marion Boardman.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept.

28, 2007 at Earlville United Presbyterian Church in Earlville, IL, with Pastor Del Keilman officiating.

Burial will be private and there will be no visitation.

Memorials may be directed to the Earlville United Presbyterian Church.
