Angelina Jolie is playing diplomat again. The movie-star mom is set to meet with British Foreign Secretary David Miliband in New York this week to discuss global diplomacy, British officials said Tuesday. Miliband, who was Britain’s first blogging Cabinet minister in his last role as environment chief, will launch a new blog Wednesday. He is encouraging key aides to follow his lead.
Ex-Hoff hassle?
David Hasselhoff’s ex-wife, Pamela Bach, turned herself in for booking Monday on a misdemeanor hit-and-run charge stemming from a fender-bender in North Hollywood. Bach, 44, was released about three hours later, according to L.A. County Sheriff’s Department records. She is accused of backing her car into another vehicle on Jan. 22. Bach’s lawyer, Peter Knecht, has said Bach left when she did not see any damage.
Carpet bagger
Keira Knightley apparently is not a fan of the red carpet. The “Pride and Prejudice” actress tells Allure mag in its October issue that she had a tough run at the Oscars, according to people.com. “All these people were coming up to my face and screaming, `Seven out of 10!’ — referring to the way I look!” she said. “And you think, ‘You rude [bleep].’ “
