Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

TV Guide is reporting that “Knight Rider” will make a triumphant return to the small screen in a two-hour, made-for-TV movie that could serve as a pilot for a new series. K.I.T.T. will have the ability to shape-shift — a la the Transformers! — which could make for some new special effects.

And you thought turbo boost was K.I.T.T.’s coolest trick.

Variety reports the show could be ready by the end of this TV season, but there’s no news of a cast yet — and we’re guessing David Hasselhoff is busy.

As K.I.T.T. would have said, with all due respect, you are not possibly thinking of … Oh my word, you are!

That’s right, buddy, a casting call:

Michael Knight

Paul Walker, hot enough to melt the seat covers in the car.

Devon Miles (the boss)

Ricky Gervais, we need a British accent here, and it’s high time this comic genius really sold out.

K.I.T.T.’s voice

Dennis Haysbert, the deep, rumbling and authoritative voice from the Allstate commercials.

Bonnie Barstow (K.I.T.T.’s programmer)

Janeane Garofalo, because we all know what happens to extra cast members on “24.”
