Most moms think their kids walk on water, but Kanye’s mom takes it just a little further.
In a recent interview with The Baltimore Sun, Donda West said her son “keeps it real.”
“He touches the people,” she said. “You never know how words can save a person’s life, physically or otherwise. People like Martin Luther King or Mahatma Gandhi or, in my view, Barack Obama or Jesus Christ — people whose job it is to tell the truth — I see that in Kanye.
“Now, people like you are gonna go, ‘Oh, Kanye’s mom said he’s like Jesus!’ but … when you have a gift, you didn’t get it by yourself. … Your truth is your truth.”
Meanwhile, it appears Kanye still holds a grudge against MTV for his Video Music Awards shutout. At Us Weekly’s Hot Hollywood party in L.A. this week, Kanye swatted away MTV cameras that were trying to film him as he gave an interview to Us Weekly, the magazine reported. Kanye told the MTV cameraman and producer, “I have nothing against you, just your bosses,” and kept his hand over the lens during the entire interview, according to Us Weekly.

Wishing Owen well
Ben Stiller had encouraging words for his longtime friend Owen Wilson, who was “Hutch” to his “Starsky” in the 2004 movie.
On Ellen DeGeneres’ show Friday, Stiller said of his friend’s apparent attempted suicide: “I sort of like to protect his privacy, ’cause I feel like it’s his own thing.”
“He’s an incredible guy and I wish him, as [does] everybody else, all the best,” Stiller said according to excerpts of the interview on people.com.
Stiller says Wilson is “doing really well.”

Natalie gets naked
Director Wes Anderson’s eye for beauty and unique vision has earned him the respect of many of Hollywood’s hottest stars. Natalie Portman apparently shares that feeling; the actress agreed to film her first nude scene in Anderson’s new short “Hotel Chevalier.”
The 13-minute short, which is a prelude to his upcoming full-length film “The Darjeeling Limited,” features Portman and Jason Schwartzman as estranged lovers in a French hotel room.
The scene is brief, tasteful and probably will leave some fans with high hopes for “Darjeeling.” And the (second) best part? It’s available as a free download from iTunes.

The Guy Games
“South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are bringing more juvenile hijinks to Comedy Central. The two will help produce new episodes of the Canadian series “Kenny vs. Spenny” for the network, The Associated Press reports.
The series follows buddies Kenny Hotz and Spencer Rice as they challenge each other to silly competitions, such as seeing who can stay naked the longest, who can sell more Bibles, and who can wear a dead octopus on his head the longest.
“It’s what guys do,” Stone told the AP. “Guys will sit around and ask, ‘Can you throw that beer can into the waste basket?’ And before you know it, they’ve created an intricate competition.”
