Stomach this: Two Chicago speed-eaters will go chew-for-chew in a chicken wing eating contest Tuesday in Las Vegas.
Pat Bertoletti and Tim “Gravy” Brown will square off against Joey Chestnut, Takeru Kobayashi and 12 other top eaters in a competition hosted by Spike TV and Major League Eating, the contest’s governing body.
Bertoletti said Kobayashi, the usual top dog in the annual Coney Island hot-dog eating contest, seems like the one to beat in the chicken wings competition.
“He always beats me pretty bad” in eating contests, Bertoletti told RedEye. “Hopefully I can close the gap and win the contest.”
Spike TV will air the competition at 10 p.m. Oct. 18.
