‘DARJEELING’ DELIGHT
Owen Wilson made a surprise appearance Thursday night at the L.A. premiere of his new movie, “The Darjeeling Limited.” It was his first public appearance since his reported suicide attempt in August.
The actor took a private entrance into the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre, where he joined his “Darjeeling” co-stars onstage as the audience erupted into applause, people.com reports.
Director Wes Anderson introduced Wilson as “my best friend.”
“I’ve never made a movie without him,” Anderson said. “And I hope I never have to.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wilson showed he still has his sense of humor when he smiled and mouthed “nice suit” to co-star Adrien Brody, who was wearing a shiny silver ensemble.
Wilson ducked out shortly after the film started playing.
Bet on it
Michelle Pfeiffer’s so sure her buddy George Clooney will marry again, she’s willing to put money on it — $100,000 to be exact.
“I bet him he would get married, and he keeps inflating the bet from $100 to $100,000,” Pfeiffer said in an interview with BBC’s “Tonight with Jonathan Ross” show, Agence France-Presse reports. “I still think he will, he’s a handsome devil.”
Clooney, one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors and a self-confessed commitment-phobe, has been married once, to actress Talia Balsam in 1989. The couple divorced three years later.
Meanwhile, Clooney BFF Brad Pitt has some ideas for his political career.
Pitt told Parade magazine he thinks Clooney should run for president.
“George should do it! He’d be quite good,” Pitt said.

Ginuwine fraud?
Ginuwine (right) has filed a lawsuit claiming he was duped into signing a contract with a nonexistent record company.
In the lawsuit, the R&B singer said he was persuaded to sign the contract by an acquaintance who claimed to own the company, King Music Group, according to The Associated Press.
The lawsuit said Ginuwine hasn’t been paid any money, including a $500,000 advance he expected to receive, and has not made any records with the company.
Mariah musings
Mariah Carey has so many bathrooms in her New York penthouse, she can’t be bothered to count them all.
“Do you really want me to think about it?” she said in an interview with Glamour magazine, which goes inside the singer’s crib for its November issue. She does tell the mag that one of her many bathrooms is entirely dedicated to the Japanese cartoon character Hello Kitty.
Carey’s wide-ranging interview also covers love, her difficult childhood, her fascination with hot tubs and why she wishes she were a genie. Yes, we said genie.
“Wouldn’t it be really hot if I could just blink and change my outfit right now?” Carey said. “How amazing would that be?”
Brit vid tubed
Britney Spears gave fans a little more Friday after her new music video for “Gimme More” briefly appeared on YouTube. It was removed shortly after being posted on the site, which cited copyright concerns.
“It really makes you want to strip,” Chris Crocker, a.k.a. the “Leave Britney alone!” guy, said after viewing a sneak peek of the clip, according to MTV News.
The video shows Spears wearing a black hat, vest and pants and dancing around a metal pole. It’s scheduled to debut on MTV’s “TRL” on Monday, people.com reports.
