In discussing the San Francisco Giants’ future, manager Bruce Bochy never once mentioned the departing Barry Bonds by name. That says a little about how sorry he is to see him go. “When you lose a guy who has been your cleanup hitter, who at times has carried this club, and he’s not going to be around, you do have to change your brand of ball,” Bochy said. “That’s going to be up to us next spring to find ways to create runs. That starts with the culture in the clubhouse, how you hit the field, how you play the game.”
