* Indie rockers Arctic Monkeys were named best act in the world today on Monday at the Q Awards in London. Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black” won best album, and Kate Nash and Kylie Minogue were also among the honorees. Paul McCartney paid tribute to his late wife, Linda, as he was awarded the title of Q Icon at the ceremony.

* Jane Seymour is trying to get back on her feet after the death of her mother, Mieke Frankenberg. Seymour, whose mum was a fan of the British version of “Dancing With the Stars,” returned to the show Monday.

* Danny Bonaduce won’t face charges for tossing former “Survivor” contestant Jonny Fairplay over his shoulders at an awards show. A charge evaluation document said there was “insufficient evidence” to prove he committed battery.

* A lawyer for two nannies who worked for Anna Nicole Smith said Monday a new book falsely uses them as a source. Ex-MSNBC host Rita Cosby’s book says the nannies told an investigator that Smith liked to sit in bed and watch a videotape of her boyfriend, Larry Birkhead, and her lawyer, Howard K. Stern, having a sexual encounter.
