Sometimes, the passion we display at work is a prime indicator of how we approach life at home.

Home may be designed to be the getaway from the hustle of the office, so nothing from work enters that portal. A Zen-aligned homeowner we featured a few years ago dealt with any correspondence in the lobby of her building, right at that moment.

For others, home is so totally wired that it is simply an extension of the office. Being disconnected would be like a denial of life itself. Many people reside somewhere in the middle. The seven individuals featured in this issue may be familiar to you and are certainly well-known in their professions. They are driven, focused on careers and/or projects, some of them global in scope. But at home, well, they make room for the enjoyment of it all. That’s equally important. That we can relate to.
