Talk about your strange bedfellows. As part of his “What’s Great About…” segment featuring Chicago for NBC’s “Weekend Today,” Lester Holt (right) joined Jerry Springer for a trip to his favorite local eatery: the South Loop’s Eleven City Diner. Holt — who spent 14 years here working at WBBM-TV Ch. 2 — assures us nothing crazy happened during his lunch with Springer. “A couple of chairs went flying but nobody got hurt,” Holt told us when we caught up with him in New York on Friday. Can’t you just hear the theme for “The Odd Couple” playing in the background? The segment airs Sunday.
