Edith Gaudio, 82,nee Holm, beloved wife of the late James C. Gaudio; loving mother and grandmother of Jane Gaudio and Daniel Fournier; passed away July 4 in Evanston.

Survived by sister Peggy (Gerald); preceded in death by parents Roy and Edna Holm, brother Roy (Betty) and brother Charles (Mavis); she will be missed by her dear friend Phillip.

Her memory will be cherished by all family members, friends and fellow musicians.

Violinist and violist, member of the Evanston Symphony and the Do-It-Yourself Messiah Orchestra, Edith graced us all with her music.

Proud to serve as secretary to the regional Chairman of the War Labor Board during WWII, Edith went on to work full time as an executive secretary till age 80, 30 years of which were for Northwest Industries and personally for Ben W. Heineman, CEO, who valued Edith greatly.

Her zest for life took her to all the continents, including Antarctica at age 79.

Memorial Service Sunday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m., at First United Methodist Church of Evanston, 516 Church St., Evanston, IL 60201.
