*Kid Rock told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show Thursday that he was just trying to have fun and buy everybody breakfast at a Waffle House early Sunday morning when he was provoked into the fight that got him booked on a misdemeanor battery charge. Kid Rock also said he doesn’t want to be thought of as a violent person. “I believe in just standing up for things I believe in, and being honest, and sometimes it gets me in a little bit of trouble.”
*What is it about Hawaii and “Lost” actors? Daniel Dae Kim is the latest to be arrested on DUI charges, The Honolulu Advertiser reports. Kim, who plays Jin, was arrested early Thursday morning, booked at a Honolulu police station and released after posting bail. Other “Lost” stars busted in Hawaii include Cynthia Watros and Michelle Rodriguez.
*The people of Rwanda will have to wait a little longer for Paris Hilton’s help. Her first major post-jail philanthropic effort, a trip to the African country, has been postponed by the foundation that organized it because of “restructuring” and will be rescheduled, People.com reports.
*Lindsay Lohan’s dad, Michael, wants to patch things up with his family. “Reconciliation and redemption — across the board,” says Lohan, a born-again Christian. “Just all of us getting right with God.” His 21-year-old daughter has said that her father’s behavior and her parents’ divorce have caused her to act out. He served almost two years in New York for drunken driving and other charges. Does Lohan blame himself for Lindsay’s troubles? “How can I not? I mean, we lead by example,” he said.
